What it was

An in-person event on AI for software engineering, at Hotel Jakarta in Amsterdam. Three of us spoke.

What was on the slides

Marat Kornyev at a standing lectern with a microphone, beside a slide headed The PM Bottleneck Has Moved.

Three headings were on screen while I spoke.

What Success Stories Leave Out — whether the delivery process was already mature, whether project evidence was accessible and authorised, what data and permission boundaries applied, how much integration and verification was needed, what happened when the model was wrong, and who owned exceptions and failures.

The PM Bottleneck Has Moved — coordination output is no longer the scarce input. What limits delivery is judgment under incomplete evidence. So the question is not replacement; it is redistribution of responsibility.

Measure Decisions, Not Generated … — the response path from signal to escalation to an authorised decision, set against decision quality: evidence completeness, visible uncertainty, forecast stability. The heading is cut off in the photograph it was read from, and this entry does not complete it.

These are headings from a deck shared by three speakers, not the title of my talk. That title is not recorded anywhere I can cite, so this entry does not give one.
