Digital Sovereignty

An event in Zurich on digital sovereignty, part of a series that had already run in Geneva. I was one of three speakers; my topic was AI sovereignty.

What it was

This was one of a series of events on digital sovereignty. Zurich followed Geneva. Three of us spoke; my topic was AI sovereignty.

What was on the slides

The room during the talk: Marat Kornyev standing at the screen, attendees seated at a long table, a patterned ceiling above.

The slide behind me set out four places a model can run — a shared public API, a private in-region endpoint, an owned self-hosted model, and an offline air-gapped one — against sensitivity and jurisdiction risk. Its heading was A Dial, Not a Switch.

That heading is a slide heading. The formal title of my talk is not recorded anywhere I can cite, so this entry does not give one.
